Someone up there LOVES ME!
I got accepted!!!!! squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Before today, I had basically given up all hopes on going to Ringling and focused my attention on University of the Arts and Japan instead; asgadfgadf- I returned home to find a FedEx package for me today on the table, from Ringling. I nearly died of a heart attack when all the application forms dropped out- I didnt even see the acceptance letter yet! Just the additional application forms!! Telling myself not to get my hopes up, I searched through the mess on the floor for the black envelope....I went to heaven for a moment.
Squeaaaaaaaaal!
I AM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!! even if I am currently failing maths and have my mock exams in a week (and I havent even started studying!! )
<w<
Thanks a lot to the people who supported me through the waiting process; I was a total dump moper during that time~ I really appreciate yet it
....now my only problem is to decide whether to pursue Ringling, my dream college, or go to Japan and study there, my dream country...ahahaha OTL
for during the wait period, I have begun applications to study in Japan and enroll in their language school and animations university lool
But I guess thats a story for another time- I have to study for exams now x.x
*hops off*

(I didnt see this comment and was clearing out my inbox today and then came across it x.x so sorry about that!)
Did you get in? =0
Their game art and design course is of the same standards as their computer animations, isnt it? Will be pretty awesome if you got in too
I learned now that my art teacher in highschool wasn't teaching the right things and kind of skrewed a lot of us over. She taught by using pictures and barely anything from life. So I'm going to community college to build my portfolio and learn what I need to learn. I will apply again next year as a first year student. Already I can tell that I'm improving with everything, now that I draw from life when I can. So yeah, hope it all works out.
And my teacher never helped =0 being in the IB programme (...well, I didnt even take their art programme till my last year of high school, which is this year) they focus a lot on independence and the teacher was literally just there to grade us and nothing more x.x everything I did on my own independently, and drawing from life certainly helped. Pictures are fine too, but they are more for touch-ups and detail- the basic shape should come from life, since thats what gives it the more realistic/organic form, imo XD thats how I worked anyways haha
I hope I will see you in Ringling one day haha XD I deferred my admission and will be going to Japan for a gap year first haha we'll probably enroll again at the same time XD
That's exactly how my teacher is! She just sits on her computer all day and give us projects that wouldn't help once so ever in the long run. I know that pictures are good for those fine tuning but she make us only work from pictures. Right now I've been drawing from life a lot more, too bad I only started doing it... four months ago, I think...
Really! Japan is awesome, I went there for a week with family. We went to Osaka. And that would so cool if we both went next year, I would actually know some on going there
But, yea... what a tough choice to have to make. Dream career or Dream country... Ah MAAN!!
(If you pick Dream Country, I'll be bugging you for lots of pictures and sending you money to buy things for me, you know.
But I will still be going for Dream Career haha just taking a different path towards it at the moment XD
